I started a Notion page to keep track of everyone I met. Their name, what they did, where they were based, and a few details from our conversation.
Two weeks later, I deleted it.
Keeping it updated was painful. After a day of working, travelling and meeting people, sitting down to manually write all of that was another job I’d given myself.
When you’re running a company, you meet people all the time. Someone you might hire. A founder you could partner with. A future customer. Someone who might invest in your company. Sometimes you have a good conversation and only realise months later why you’d like to speak to that person again.
By then, you’re trying to remember their name, where you met, and whether you saved their number or connected on LinkedIn.
There’s another situation I run into whenever I travel.
Say I’m going to London for a couple of days. I have friends there, people I’ve worked with, and people I’d like to catch up with. But when I sit down to arrange a few meetings, I can’t always remember everyone.
This is one of the reasons I’m building DRAKI, an AI personal CRM.
With those contacts and the context of our conversations saved in DRAKI, I can ask my connected AI:
“Who in my network is based in London?”
Or:
“Who did I meet in London over the last couple of years?”
Then I can look through the list, check what we talked about, and decide who to message.
