Your Conversation History Should Have an Exit

Your local conversation history, Draki account and text shared with an AI need different controls. Here is how to keep a copy, ask for removal and disconnect an assistant.

An open turquoise archive box holds white index cards, with a slotted lid latch and a pink padlock lying flat in front, its open shackle pointing right.

You have finished a client project. You want to keep the handover notes, remove the working conversations and stop the assistant you used from retrieving anything else.

Those are three actions. Pausing the microphone cannot remove the old discussions. Disconnecting an assistant cannot bring back text it has already received. And uninstalling Draki does not delete your cloud account.

The mobile app works without a bracelet. New public recordings are sent through Draki to OpenAI over Wi-Fi after permission. Text and context are stored for cloud summaries and search. Optional MCP connections separately share authorized text with compatible assistants. This guide explains the controls for each place, with help from Draki support.

Start with what you want to change

Your intentionWhat to doWhat remains to consider
Stop recording nowTurn recording offAnything already saved
Stop the app using the microphoneChange its microphone permission in iOS SettingsExisting local history and any text shared with an assistant
Keep a copy of your historyAsk support for the available steps and formatWhich records are on your phone and which were shared
Remove a stopped conversationSwipe it in Transcripts and choose DeleteServer deletion waits for connectivity; saved contacts and external copies remain
Stop an AI connectionDisconnect itInformation the provider already received
Close your accountRequest full account deletionConfirmation, applicable exceptions and backup expiry

You can make a narrow change. Disconnecting one assistant does not require deleting the history you still want in Draki.

The optional bracelet keeps capture conveniently within reach throughout your day. You can turn it on or off whenever you choose. Wearing it, recording with it and keeping what you recorded are separate decisions.

Get the copy before requesting its removal

For the client project, identify the handover conversations and their date range. Say whether you need transcript text, dates, speaker labels or summaries. Support cannot remotely retrieve records kept only on your phone, but it can explain how to manage them. Ask which copying steps and format are available before removing anything.

Deleting a stopped conversation removes its local content and requests deletion of server text, derived results and stored audio. Contacts remain. Limited deletion and usage records prevent recreation and enforce limits, without retaining the transcript. Earlier private voice profiles need separate attention. The storage guide explains retention and external copies.

An AI chat is not an account backup. Draki's read-only MCP connection retrieves authorized text and context for an assistant. It does not export audio, voice samples or voice profiles. Asking it to find a few discussions does not establish that you have a complete copy of your history.

If you want a copy before deletion, make that order explicit. You can adapt this request:

Subject: Draki data request

I am writing from the email associated with my Draki account. I want to keep a copy of my client handover conversations from August 1 through September 15, including transcripts, dates and speaker labels. Please explain the steps and format available for copying these records from my phone and account. Please also identify any related text or context shared with an assistant that this request can cover.

After I confirm I have the copy, please help me remove those local conversations and summaries, and remove related shared context held by Draki. Please distinguish the steps I need to take on my phone from the records you can remove, explain any retained copies and confirm when your part of the request is complete.

Send it using the contact on the support page. Start with enough context to locate the records; you do not need to attach private transcripts to the initial request.

For whole-account deletion, say that you want the entire account deleted. Listing a few conversations leaves a different scope. Support may verify your identity, clarify the request and explain expected timing before confirming completion. Ask what account deletion covers on your phone and whether any local removal steps are needed.

Disconnect the assistant, then check its history

In Draki, open Profile → Connect with your AI, select the connection and disconnect it. You can also remove the connection in the assistant's settings. This stops future access through that connection.

Next, consider the information already returned. If the handover discussion appeared in a ChatGPT or Claude conversation, use that provider's own controls or support process for the copy it received. Revoking access cannot withdraw text from an earlier chat or a document you have already shared.

When you connect another assistant, authorize it separately and ask for the records needed for the task. The connection guide explains the current read-only scope.

A voice profile needs its own request

The public app does not offer voice enrollment or automatic speaker recognition. Earlier or private test versions may have uploaded recordings, voice samples or derived voice profiles for cloud processing. Removing a conversation does not necessarily remove a profile from those versions. If that is what concerns you, name the profile when asking for removal instructions. Raw audio and voice profiles are not exposed through MCP.

If a recording or profile contains your information but you do not have a Draki account, you can still contact support with enough context to explain the concern. Support may need further details and cannot remotely access material stored only on another person's phone.

Draki's privacy policy explains that legal exceptions, provider retention and backup expiry can affect removal of audio, account information and shared text. Earlier private voice profiles may also need separate removal. A support response should distinguish completed removals from steps you still need to take on your phone or with an assistant provider. For the client project, you want the handover copy in your possession, the working history removed from the relevant places and the old assistant connection unable to retrieve new information.

FAQ

How do I request a copy of my Draki data?
Contact Draki support from your account email with the subject Draki data request. Specify whether you need help copying local conversations from your phone or want account information and context shared with an assistant. Support can explain the available steps and format and may verify your identity.
How do I delete my Draki account?
Request full account deletion through Draki support. Support confirms scope, verifies identity where needed, explains timing and confirms completion, subject to applicable exceptions and backup expiry. Identify any retained data from earlier private voice tests, and use the assistant provider's controls for text it already received.
Does disconnecting ChatGPT delete everything it received?
No. Disconnecting stops future access through that Draki connection. Use the assistant provider's own data controls or support process for information already received, including earlier chats.
Does uninstalling Draki delete my conversation history?
Uninstalling or signing out does not delete your Draki account or copies already shared with an assistant. Local history is separate: ask support how to preserve or remove it before uninstalling if you need a specific result.
