The recording is an hour long. Your next meeting starts in ten minutes. All you need is the part where the plan changed.
This is where an app to remember conversations has to earn its place. A transcript gives you somewhere to look. Search should take you to the relevant exchange. An AI assistant can then help you prepare, using that exchange instead of asking you to reconstruct it from memory.
Draki's mobile app works without a bracelet. It records on your phone, then sends audio through Draki to OpenAI over Wi-Fi after your permission. The public app does not automatically separate or recognize speakers. The bracelet is an optional convenience for keeping capture available as you go about your day.
You can add Draki as a custom MCP connection to ChatGPT, Claude or another compatible AI. The connection is configured manually, with Draki sign-in and your approval; there is no listed Draki plugin to install. Audio is separately sent through Draki to OpenAI for transcription after your permission, and text is stored in your Draki account. A connected assistant can retrieve that context and process it in its own service. Here is what that can mean before a second meeting.
Recover the change, including the reason
Imagine you are producing an exhibition with Mira, a sound designer. In your first meeting, you agree to put an audio installation near the entrance. A week later, you move it to the rear room because it would interrupt the welcome remarks. You have not settled when playback should begin.
Before meeting Mira again, you find the first transcript. It says "entrance." The recording is accurate; the plan is out of date.
A useful answer needs both discussions, in order. Searching by Mira's name and the installation gives you a starting point. Dates distinguish the original plan from the revision. The later exchange explains why you moved it, which matters when someone suggests putting it back.
This is one reason we build around a person's conversation history. You may remember who you discussed something with long after you forget the recording's title or the day it happened. Draki can retrieve that history for a confirmed person, so you can ask about the project across meetings.
Give ChatGPT a smaller, better job
You do not need a second hour-long document before this meeting. You need the current decision, the reason behind it and the question left to settle.
In Draki, start at Profile → Connect with your AI. Add the supplied server address as a custom MCP connection in ChatGPT, then sign in to Draki and approve read access. The connection guide covers this setup for ChatGPT, Claude and other compatible assistants. Availability depends on the assistant, your plan and workspace settings.
Then try this prompt, replacing Mira with the person you are meeting:
Use my Draki conversations with Mira about the sound installation over the past two weeks. If there is more than one Mira, ask me which one. Give me the current decision, why it changed and anything we still need to decide. Include the source conversation and date for each point.
For our example, the preparation note would be short:
- Current decision: The installation goes in the rear room.
- Reason: Entrance audio would interrupt the welcome remarks.
- Still open: When playback begins.
If the answer misses the change or merges the two plans, return to the cited discussions. The source gives you a way to catch that mistake before you carry it into the room.
You can ask ChatGPT to turn the note into an agenda. Draki's current connection is read-only: it provides the material for the draft, and you decide what to do with it.
Save a conversation you expect to return to
You can try this with one discussion using the app alone. Agree on recording with the people involved, turn it on when you are ready and off whenever you want. Check the saved transcript afterward while the details are fresh.
Look for the decision you made and the explanation behind it. If the app missed that exchange, a fluent summary cannot restore it. If a returning speaker has been matched to the wrong person, fix the attribution before relying on their history. Our article on voice IDs and recording controls explains how those pieces differ.
Also know where the recording and transcript go. How Draki stores conversation data explains phone and cloud storage, OpenAI processing and optional sharing with an assistant.
At the next meeting, notice whether you can continue from where you left off. In the exhibition example, that means deciding when the audio begins, with no need for Mira to explain the room change again. That is a worthwhile result for a conversation app.

FAQ
- What should an app to remember conversations do?
- It should let you find a detail without replaying the whole recording. Look for searchable transcripts, dates, speaker attribution and a way to return to the original conversation.
- Can I use Draki conversation history in ChatGPT?
- Yes, by adding Draki as a custom MCP connection where your ChatGPT account supports it. After you sign in and approve read access, ChatGPT can retrieve synced conversation text and context to answer a question or draft a brief. The same optional, read-only MCP connection works with Claude and other compatible clients.
- Can I use the Draki app without the bracelet?
- Yes. The mobile app works by itself. The bracelet is an optional way to keep recording conveniently within reach throughout the day. The current iPhone app uses OpenAI cloud transcription after your permission; automatic voice recognition is not available in the public app.
- Do I need to record my entire day?
- No. Start with conversations you want to return to, with the people involved agreeing to recording. Draki lets you pause or stop capture.
- Will ChatGPT automatically receive every recording?
- No raw audio is sent through MCP. If you authorize a custom MCP connection, ChatGPT can retrieve synced text and context from your Draki account. That approval grants ongoing read access until revoked or expired, rather than permission for one question. Audio, voice samples, voice profiles and material kept only on your phone are not exported.
